3. Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan invest $25 million in agriculture researchers

   Today, Canada’s Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Lawrence MacAulay and Saskatchewan’s Minister of Agriculture David Marit announced $25 million to support 15 strategic research chairs at the University of Saskatchewan’s (USask) College of Agriculture and Bioresources through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

4. Agriculture student scholarship recipients announced in Saskatchewan

   Today, Saskatchewan students pursuing a post-secondary education in agriculture were awarded scholarships from the federal and provincial governments.

5. Minister MacAulay announces new investment in mental health support for producers

   To mark Mental Health Week, the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, announced an investment of up to $1.08 million for the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing (CCAW) through the AgriCompetitiveness Program, an initiative under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

6. Yukon Agriculture celebrates one year of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership

   The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP) provides $9.25 million in support towards Yukon’s agriculture and agri-food sector development over 5 years (2023-2028).

7. Minister MacAulay announces new funding to help promote Canadian maple syrup around the world

   Maple syrup is an iconic Canadian export, and people around the world enjoy Canada's delicious, top-quality maple products, with exports reaching $615 million last year.

8. Governments of Canada and Manitoba invest in Manitoba's Livestock Predation Prevention Program

   The governments of Canada and Manitoba are providing financial support to Manitoba's Livestock Predation Prevention Program which supports the adoption of pro-active, on-farm measures to deter predator attacks, federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister, the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay and Manitoba Agriculture Minister Ron Kostyshyn, announced today.

9. Canada and Manitoba governments support Squeal on Pigs

   The governments of Canada and Manitoba are providing financial support to Manitoba Pork’s Squeal on Pigs campaign, part of Manitoba’s commitment under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, and provincial Minister of Agriculture, Ron Kostyshyn, announced today.
