2. Government of Canada invests in growth by supporting Les Fruits de Mer Madeleine

   Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine business obtains $2 million in funding from CED.

3. Hurricane Fiona: CED has granted over $7.6M in aid to disaster victims in Gaspésie and Les Îles‑de‑la‑Madeleine

   Twenty organizations have received support to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Fiona and better prepare for future bad weather.

   The following information is in addition to the news release issued on May 3, 2024, on the financial assistance authorized by CED, the recipients, and their respective projects. All of the projects have received non‑repayable financial contributions.

5. Invitation to media – Minister Diane Lebouthillier to announce Government of Canada support for Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine fisheries business

   The Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Member of Parliament for Gaspésie‒Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will take the opportunity during her visit to Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine to announce CED financial assistance to boost the growth of a business in the fisheries sector.
